Proclamation No. 539 declared the last week of October of every year as Nurses’ Week Celebration, and this year President Rodrigo Duterte, through Proclamation 976 s.2020, has declared 2020 as the “Year of Filipino Health Workers” to recognize the heroism and compassion of medical workers in the country amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
